Learn Spanish in Mexico!  There are several good reasons to choose Mexico for Spanish language / culture training.

SPANISH AS IT SHOULD BE SPOKEN AND PRONOUNCED

The difference in pronunciation and vocabulary between the Spanish language in Spain and Mexico is very small, especially if you compare it to the Spanish spoken in the Caribbean and South America.

This, plus the fact Mexico is the biggest Spanish speaking country in the world, makes "Mexican" Spanish the most used Spanish in international business, culture, and art. In Spain, movies are often dubbed in Mexican Spanish. And we don’t even need to tell you that Mexican Spanish is the most spoken Spanish in the U.S.A.!

1st CLASS FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Although some regions in Mexico (particularly the southeast) are underdeveloped, the cities (including Cuernavaca) offer all the facilities and creature comforts you would find in any other industrialized country.

More than 7000 kms. of recently built highways and 10 national airlines (4 of them flying to Europe, Canada and the U.S.) connect all cites and tourist locations.

Mexico is one of the few countries in Latin America with first class doctors and medical facilities. Good to know in case of emergency. As a matter a fact, thousands of US citizens fly yearly to Mexico for Medical care, as it is of similar quality as in the US, yet up to 80% cheaper. A travel insurance policy is a good idea. With it, the visitor can be assured of first class medical assistance, if needed.

PRIVILEGED SITUTION ON THE WORLD MAP

Mexico is the closest Spanish speaking country to the United States and Canada and one of the few Latin American countries with direct and daily flights to and from the major European cities. Mexico is as close to Asia and Australia as Spain and well connected by direct flights from major Asian cities with Japan Airlines.

NO INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM

The possibilities of terrorist attacks on Mexico are close to nonexistent. Mexico's low profile foreign policy insures that the country has no enemies to fear, nor do others fear Mexico.

SOCIAL - POLITICAL STABILITY OF MEXICO

Since the past presidential elections in 2000, Mexico is internationally recognized as a democratic country. Clean elections chose a candidate form the opposition as president for the first time in 71 years. All political forces are represented in congress, guaranteeing a political stability unimaginable in most other Latin American countries.

NO ARMED OPPOSITION GROUPS OR TERRORIST ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COUNTRY

Mexico is not affected by internal armed opposition which involves random killing and injury of people, such as the ETA (Spain) or the FARC (Colombia)…  Mexico has no armed opposition since the peace agreement with the only existing guerrilla organization, the EZLN (the Zapatistas) located in Chiapas state, 1200 miles to the south. With the exception of a few days early on, the Zapatistas have confined their battle to the internet. Since the Mexican legislature approved the 'Ley Indigina' (the "Native Peoples Act"), guaranteeing full civil rights for the indigenous population in Mexico, the EZLN has become, more and more, a political organization.
